Here is my question

What would someone do if they've just left their husband and they find his "I Love Amsterdam" t-shirt in the suitcase? I don't want it to be sentimental but at the same time I don't want to just end on a nothing kind of reaction. She has to leave him without nostalgia or murder.

Hmmm, I think that you could do many different things with that shirt. Perhaps you could capitalize on the fact that it has a claim of "love" on it; what is Mrs. Bennett's reaction to that? Or the fact that it's Amsterdam that he loves; does Mrs. B. find this characteristic of Mr. B., typical, just like him that he would love such a place of absolute debauchery (in her mind)? Did Mrs. B and Mr B go to Amsterdam together? On their honeymoon? Hmm...so many things you could do. Once you know what the significance of the shirt is, then I think that it will become evident what Mrs. B does with it in the real world (e.g., puts it on over her clothes, throws it away, gives it to someone, etc.)
